Tiny Temple were commissioned to produce deep-charred Scottish oak for an extension in Edinburgh. The oak was sourced from a sawmill at Loch Awe and brought back to be kiln-dried at our mill.
Once it was down to the correct moisture content it was moulded on our six-head planer moulder and charred deeply. It was then factory-coated with two coats of Teknos paint to stabilise the char layer, and the battens were face-fixed onto black-painted counter battens.
